Welcome to the website of internationally protected dog breeding kennel 'z Chrpových luk', registered at ČMKU
(Czech-Moravian Cynology Association) and recognized by the FCI. Our breeding kennel was founded in 2020 with a focus on the breeding of Afghan Hounds.
Although I only founded the breeding kennel two years ago, this dog has been a part of my life since I was a child. The first Afghan Hound entered my life in 1979; it was a female named 'Agnes of Barvička'. My parents got me this dog when I was 3 years old. From that moment on, this wonderful breed has accompanied me throughout my life.
Agnes was the daughter of Angelika of Homopir and Carik Suhajli. At first, my parents and Agnes took part in several shows, but they soon took to dog racing, so I spent lots of time with the dogs on the racetrack. I had many unforgettable moments at the racetracks in Lednice, Kolín and Mladá Boleslav, and especially the now defunct racetrack in Zbůch.
In 1983, my parents decided to establish an Afghan Hound breeding kennel named 'z Kožlanského háje'. This kennel bred 3 litters of puppies.
At 17 I received my first very own Afghan Hound called Majda. At the age of 36 I bought my first female, Abbey of Benův dvůr; in 2015 I got another female, Emma Watson van de Robega, adding Slovak female C'Stela McCartney All Tiger to the group one year later. Unlike my parents, I wasn't as interested in the world of dog racing, I was enchanted by the beauty of dog shows.
Not only my parents and family, especially my two daughters, have been a great support in this wonderful world of dogs;
I also have two wonderful human beings, who are my advisors as well as good friends, Pavlínka Peterová and Martinka Frolíková. I don't believe I would have found the courage to breed these beautiful dogs without these two wonderful ladies.
I would hereby like to thank them for being who they are.
